2. Make the Sauce
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and milk. Whisk until smooth.
- Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and mix until well incorporated.
3. Assemble the Casserole
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- Pour the sauce over the beef layer, spreading it evenly.
- Arrange the tater tots on top in a single, even layer.
4. Bake
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
- Return the casserole to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
