1. Prepare the Pan and Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
2. Whip the Egg Whites
- In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy using an electric mixer.
- Gradually add half the sugar (about 6 tablespoons) and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
3. Make the Egg Yolk Mixture
- In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until pale and creamy.
- Add vanilla extract, milk, and oil, mixing until smooth.
