4. Combine Dry Ingredients
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg yolk mixture until just combined.
5. Incorporate the Egg Whites
- Gently fold one-third of the whipped egg whites into the batter to lighten it.
- Carefully fold in the remaining egg whites in two additions, being cautious not to deflate the batter.
6. Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Cool the Cake
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Invert onto a wire rack, remove the parchment paper, and let it cool completely.
