Bollos de Miel, Pasas y Arándanos

Instructions:

  1. Activate the Yeast:
  • In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. Add a teaspoon of honey and let the mixture sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  1. Prepare the Dough:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, honey, egg, softened butter, and warm water. Mix until the dough starts to come together.
  1. Knead the Dough:
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, add a bit more flour, one tablespoon at a time.
  1. Add the Fruits:
  • Gently knead in the raisins and dried cranberries until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  1. First Rise:
  • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  1. Shape the Buns:
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a round bun. Place the buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  1. Second Rise:
  • Cover the buns with a kitchen towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes, or until they have puffed up.
  1. Bake:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 15-18 minutes, or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  1. Glaze:
  • While the buns are still warm, brush the tops with a little honey to give them a shiny and sweet finish.
  1. Serve:
  • Let the buns cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature.

These Honey, Raisin, and Cranberry Buns are soft, sweet, and perfect for any time of the day. Serve them with butter or enjoy them as they are!
