Cheesy Baked Gnocchi Casserole
This hearty dish combines soft gnocchi, rich tomato sauce, and gooey melted cheese for a comforting and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (500g) gnocchi
- 2 cups marinara or tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, or thyme)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the gnocchi
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the gnocchi and cook until they float to the surface (usually 2-3 minutes).
- Drain the gnocchi and toss them with olive oil to prevent sticking.
