Chicken Cordon Bleu Lasagna

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the sauce:
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Whisk in the flour to make a roux and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream. Continue whisking until the mixture thickens.
  • Stir in Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Add ½ cup of Parmesan cheese and mix until smooth. Set aside.
  1. Layer the lasagna:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, start with a thin layer of the sauce at the bottom.
  • Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles.
  • Top with shredded chicken, a few slices of ham, and slices of Swiss cheese.
  • Add a bit of sauce and repeat the layers until you’ve used all the ingredients, ending with a layer of noodles.
  1. Top and bake:
  • Pour the remaining sauce over the top of the lasagna.
  • Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  1. Final touch:
  • After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
