Classic Hearty Reuben Bake

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Dish

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Assemble the Bottom Layer

  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press half of it into the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.
  2. Bake the crust for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Step 3: Add Reuben Layers

  1. Spread the chopped corned beef evenly over the baked crust.
  2. Sprinkle the drained sauerkraut over the beef.
  3. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing, spreading it out to cover.
  4. Top with 1 cup of the shredded Swiss cheese.

Step 4: Top Layer and Bake

  1. Unroll the remaining crescent roll dough and place it over the top of the layers in the dish.
  2. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with caraway seeds, if using.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Let the bake cool slightly before cutting into squares.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with additional Thousand Island dressing on the side.
