2. Assemble the Pie:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place one pie crust in the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Press gently to fit.
- Pour the creamy filling into the crust, spreading it evenly.
- Place the second pie crust on top, trimming and sealing the edges. Crimp with a fork for a decorative touch.
- Cut small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the top crust with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
3. Bake:
- Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let the pie cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
