2. Cook the Ground Beef
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
3. Make the Creamy Sauce
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika (if using), and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
4. Combine the Filling
- Add the cooked ground beef mixture to the bowl with the creamy sauce.
- Fold in the thawed hash browns, making sure they’re evenly coated with the sauce.
