Instructions:
- Cook the Ravioli:
- If using fresh ravioli, cook according to the package instructions in boiling salted water. If frozen, add a few extra minutes to the cooking time. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- Cook the Sausage:
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sausage slices and cook until they are browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes.
- Prepare the Cream Sauce:
- In the same skillet with the sausage, add the heavy cream and broth. Stir in garlic powder (or fresh garlic), Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Combine and Bake:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe baking dish, combine the cooked ravioli and the sausage with the cream sauce. Stir gently to coat the ravioli in the sauce.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top of the ravioli and sausage mixture.
- Optional: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Bake:
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. You can also broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for a golden, crispy cheese topping.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Once out of the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy your creamy sausage and ravioli bake!
This dish is hearty, comforting, and packed with cheesy goodness, perfect for an easy weeknight meal or a special dinner!
