Crockpot Ham and Potato Casserole

Tips for Success

  1. Use Uniform Potato Slices: Slicing the potatoes evenly ensures they cook at the same rate. A mandoline slicer can be very helpful for this.
  2. Don’t Overdo the Salt: Since ham and cheese are salty, go easy on the salt when seasoning. It’s always easier to add more salt later if needed.
  3. Experiment with Cheese: Feel free to try other cheeses like Gouda, Swiss, or Pepper Jack for a unique flavor twist. Gouda adds a smoky touch, and Pepper Jack gives a bit of spice.
  4. Add Vegetables: For extra nutrients and color, add veggies like bell peppers, broccoli, or even frozen peas during the layering process. Just make sure the veggies are diced small so they cook evenly with the potatoes.
