Fish Balls

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the fish: In a food processor, add the fish fillets and pulse until it’s finely minced. You can also use a knife to chop it finely if you don’t have a food processor.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the minced fish, onion, garlic, parsley or cilantro, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and paprika or cayenne pepper (if using). Mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Shape into balls: Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture. You should get about 18-20 fish balls, depending on the size.
  4. Heat the oil: Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the fish balls: Once the oil is hot, gently add the fish balls in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry each batch for about 4-5 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Drain and serve: Remove the fish balls from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce like tartar sauce, sweet chili sauce, or garlic aioli.

Enjoy your crispy and tasty Fish Balls!
