Garlic Sausage Alfredo Rigatoni

Step 3: Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until it’s fragrant but not browned.
  3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, letting it thicken slightly over 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
  5. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese, stirring until it’s fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Combine and Serve

  1. Add the cooked sausage back to the skillet, stirring it into the Alfredo sauce until fully combined.
  2. Toss the cooked rigatoni in the sauce, ensuring every piece is thoroughly coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  3. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley or basil, if desired.
