Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, allowing the edges to hang over the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease with butter or non-stick spray.
Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined and crumbly. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking pan to form a crust layer.
Bake the Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until it’s lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly while you prepare the filling.
Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined. Stir in the chopped pecans.
Pour and Bake: Pour the filling mixture over the slightly cooled crust, spreading it evenly. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown.
Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, use the parchment or foil overhang to lift the bars from the pan. Slice into squares or rectangles and serve.
