Old Fashioned Goulash

Instructions:

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large pot or deep skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add Veggies and Garlic: Add the diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add Liquids and Seasonings: Pour in the beef broth, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes. Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  4. Add Pasta: Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then stir in the elbow macaroni. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Optional Cheese: If you want an extra creamy goulash, stir in shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt into the sauce.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

This Old Fashioned Goulash is the perfect one-pot comfort food – enjoy it while it’s warm and delicious!
