Pasta with Ground Beef

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Beef: While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking up the meat with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Add Aromatics: Once the beef is browned, add the diced onion and cook until softened. Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Make the Sauce: Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth. Mix well and bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with additional salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Combine and Serve: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the beef sauce, stirring to coat the pasta in the sauce. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.

This hearty dish is perfect for an easy weeknight dinner! Enjoy your savory pasta with ground beef!
