Philly Cheese Steak Casserole Recipe: A Delicious Twist on a Classic Sandwich
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Beef and Vegetables
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. If you’re using thinly sliced steak, cook until just browned to avoid overcooking.
Season the meat with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce for added depth of flavor.
Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside in a bowl.
Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed, then sauté the onions and bell peppers until they’re softened, about 5-7 minutes.
If you’re using mushrooms, add them in and cook until they release their moisture and become golden.
Season the vegetables with a pinch of salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
