Pizza Spaghetti Casserole

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the spaghetti: Boil the spaghetti in salted water until it’s just al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Combine the ingredients:
  • Add the marinara or pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder to the meat. Stir well.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce mixture.
  1. Assemble the casserole:
  • Transfer the spaghetti mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
  • Layer half of the pepperoni, bell peppers, and black olives (if using) over the cheese.
  1. Top with remaining ingredients:
  • Add the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
  • Arrange the remaining pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  1. Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is slightly golden.
  2. Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
