Potato and Ground Beef Casserole!

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.

Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  2. Season with salt and pepper. Add the drained diced tomatoes (if using) and stir. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Layer the Potatoes and Beef

  1. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly, and the potatoes are fork-tender.
  2. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.
