Sausage and Cheese Crescent Ring


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Set the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the sausage:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  3. Mix the filling:
    • In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix until fully blended.
  4. Prepare the crescent ring:
    • On the prepared baking sheet, unroll the crescent dough and arrange the triangles in a circular pattern, with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward. Press the overlapping areas slightly to seal.
  5. Add the filling:
    • Spoon the sausage mixture evenly around the wide ends of the dough.
  6. Shape the ring:
    • Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling, tucking them under the wide ends to form a ring.
  7. Brush and bake:
    • Brush the dough with beaten egg for a glossy finish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve:
    • Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
